- The Canary Islands

The Canary Islands, also known as the Canaries, are an archipelago in the Atlantic Ocean. They form an autonomous community of Spain and have a population of over two million people. Abián and Rayco are from there.

The Spanish spoken in the Canary Islands has its own grammatical and pronunciation features. It shares several similarities with Latin American Spanish.

- The pastissets

Stuffed fried pastries typical in Valencian Community and south-western regions of Catalonia.
- Almogrote

The almogrote is a traditional culinary specialty from the island of La Gomera, the island Rayco is from. It’s made using local ingredients like aged cheese and mojo picón (a spicy pepper sauce), resulting in a kind of spicy cheese spread.
It’s really, really popular in the Canary Islands. It’s SO good.
